I have used godaddy for years because the platforms they have to build websites have been pretty easy to use. I am not a techy, so ease of use is important. Their pricing s fairly straightforward, unlike Wix' pricing. They have outstanding phone service.
I have had both pro and con for Go daddy. I can at least say when I have had issues they at least are very helpful. With my busy days I need something reliable and easy to work with. Go daddy is usually all that.
I actually am in the process of switching to Shopify, unfortunately godaddy doesn't sync up to google shopping, which is a big deal for me. Other than that, it's decent. I love the review system, but the email marketing lost about 200 of my saved emails.
We have been using Go Daddy for a little over a year. We have really enjoyed the flexibility and ease of use they offer in their subscription plans. Having never designed a website before, Go Daddy was a quick and easy solution. Their templates are extremely easy to use and fill in with a business’s pertinent information. We have never had an issue with their e-commerce platform or missed a order. Payments to our account are quick, easy, and hassle free.
We would definitely recommend Go Daddy to any small business owner.
We are extremely pleased with the service and platform that Go Daddy Provides, Like any ready made Platform there are some things like fulfilling orders that could be quicker but this is a very small snitch and could be rectified quite easily. With regards to the overall experience, one of the reasons we choose Go Daddy is because we have unlimited Bandwidth with our Website, This is extremely useful as we have a huge audience on our webpages all the time. So the answers to your question is that we are extremely pleased with their services and as a provider.
we like the Online Store.
We've been using GoDaddy for over 15 years.
We like their products and LOVE their AMERICAN-based 24/7 tech support.
I would recommend it because the functionality is really easy to use by I am looking to move to Shopify because of all the various app and other selling platforms it has to offer. The only thing is godaddy online doesn’t have as many features or themes as other websites
If your objective is a functioning sales site that incorporates all the features you need for an online store, this is for you. Some limitation but it is designed for an all inclusive one-stop-shop for your business. Yes I would recommend it especially for the small operator.
I started with it because it was a name I knew and it was easy to get started. I would not recommend it though because now that I’ve been using it awhile I find it doesn’t have all the features I need on my website and the support isn’t very helpful. Plus the renew price was a bit high.
I like the GoDaddy website builder. We did just change to Shopify because the person working on the site preferred Shopify's payment options to GoDaddy and was more familiar were their platform
I would not recommend GoDaddy. It is very expensive, customer support is very poor, there are major faults with the website including how it calculates tax. There are many, many other reasons to avoid GoDaddy too.
my website is going away. godaddy is very exoensive. i had five orders last year-total. godaddy does nothing to promote its on line stores and this is what i pay them to do. it's their job.
yes i would recommend it. Other than ebay which is my main bread and butter i havent used another platform.
With that said ill be shutting down the website soon because i dont have time for ebay and a website.
I would recommend it. Fairly straightforward to use. Haven't contrasted it with others, beyond the point where I knew I wasn't going to input any code or hire soneone.
I have zero complaints. Easy to use and the best support Ive ever had with an online company. You call and “talk” to a real people, who speaks clear English. I don’t have a racist bone in my body, but when I call about my business I expect to be able to understand the person I’m talking with. And all of this for $30.00 per month. It’s great!
the template I purchased from GoDaddy had so many glitches for a lay person to figure out. I'm still working on the search engine problems. I'd NEVER use it again or recommend it!
It is very basic, and does not have all the features I use for many of my other websites. That being said, it is easy to use. Also, we have issues with order notifications. It will only notify us via text message if we have an incoming order. It will not email us for some reason. Anyway, I have yet to contact godaddy about this issue.
Looks OK, easy to set up, helpline is OK, fast transactions, but doesn't rank easily in Google, limited in what can be done, information is now their property so to change website means starting completely from fresh entering hundreds of products as you can't copy it over, no reporting function either. Would I recommend, for anyone looking for a quick website it's OK, for serious online sellers no.
I would, we've been using it for a few years now.
We were able to easily build the website and add products. The sales process is great, and we've gotten a lot of sales through the site, well worth the monthly cost, especially since we were going to hire-out our website and were looking at thousands of dollars.
I had no knowledge on how to build a website and built Werks911 over a period of about 3 months. GoDaddy has free support 24/ 7 with short hold times. I have no experience with any other web site builder so I can't say how it ranks with others. i have seen the GoDaddy format go through many changes when a new idea implemented . I think it is really easy to use but like anything , the more you do it the better you get.
It is a GoDaddy Premium Online Store - and yes, I would recommend it. It sets up quite easily, adding/changing inventory is easy and it comes with it's own credit card processing for sales.
it works well for me as an ecommerce site. They only offer this format if you order via phone now, and it is called Premium Online Store. I find it very easy to use when it comes to customizing the look of it, and it's a snap to add items. They have about 9 templates. It is lacking some advanced features that many users want, tho, like the ability to download your catalog, integration with other platforms, automation for tracking, etc.
Generally I have found godaddy very good. Easy to create a good looking site with help on hand if you need it. My issue is that if you want a website and an online shop you need to pay for 2 subscriptions. This may have changed I don’t know but it was a frustration when I created it
I actually manage 2 stores on godaddy's ecommerce platform as well as a couple stores on other platforms.
I am actually using their older ecommerce store software and have not converted up to their newer version yet, for a couple reasons.
As far as recommending them for ecommerce stores, I would as long as you don't customization and just need the basics. Very easy to build and user friendly.
it is working. You have less options than in a web page, but it is cheaper, that way you save money at startup your business and have your cart inside with the credit card processing. You could add, edit or change anything from your own computer at home, no need for ITs and go daddy has an exceptional customer service who help you at any time.
I would recommend it as a basic site with essential functionality that’s easy to use and fairly priced. It does lack some of the luster and functionality of other stores builders.
It’s takes about a day to set up you all of your basic functions and webpages such as about us, returns, and categories layouts. Then takes as little as 3 minutes to add a product.
At one point I used a yahoo store which was too basic and Wordpress Shopify which was a bit too much for me.
I would definitely recommend. Very easy to use and set up!
The only a few items that I have ask godaddy to update 1. If you allow backordering - there is no way to let the customer know - you have to email them separately - instead of the website showing the backorder date. 2. I can not download a full inventory list 3. Getting it to integrate with stamps.com - I have not found a way - it looks for Wordpress or shoplify. But still not a huge issue I just logon and copy paste the address and such.
Godaddy effectively put me out of business, I shut it down finally this week
Godaddy are incompetent and their call center staff are surly and unhelpful, never actually got anything fixed in 6 years and they were trying to sell me stuff at the same time
I have been using GoDaddy’s Online Store for about 18 months and I haven’t experienced anything unexpected to date. It is a very simple solution without a lot of bells and whistles and it works as designed. I have experienced one issue with the Store and it is probably has more to do with our business model. If you offer all of your products with no shipping charges (as I do with WristGrip) you can’t differentiate Canadian order from domestic orders – everything ships free. I need to be able to defray some of the costs of shipping when I ship a $7 product to Canada, but I currently cannot do that with the GoDaddy store. Other than that one issue, I have had no problems with the software. I will however be switching to another product (e.g., Shopify…) because I do need to be able to charge for shipping for non-CONUS orders.
I would highly recommend GoDaddy. I have had two GoDaddy websites over the years. Very easy to manage and / or make physical changes to my pages. However, the absolute best thing of all is when you call them, A HUMAN ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! Now maybe if PayPal could could learn a thing or two. I rate GoDaddy a 10 and PayPal a 0 (zero). I hate Paypal!
I would recommend GODADDY for web builds and open store fronts, its a great platform if your not a computer person, it makes it easy and simple to follow the directions to get your site up and running.
I have been very happy with the service provided, and the quick, competent customer service.
I've been using GoDaddy for quite a few years, on the advice of my young nephew, who knows much more than I do about using computers.
As someone who’s knowledge of this stuff is limited. I found it relatively easy to use.
There were some things that were not obvious, but was over all easy to put together.
They also have sales on different products that you might need or want, without being to intrusive.
I think it made things easy for me.
I'm using GoDaddy's Online Store and have been for approximately two years now. I absolutely love it. It's very, very easy to set up, make changes, process orders, etc. I have never received any complaints from customers, so from the consumer side it must be easy to use as well.
Would I recommendit to others? Absolutely. Anyone can figure out how to use this website interface. It looks good and even with zero skills, your store can look like you paid a web designer to do it.
For the average user, it does everything you want and need. For someone with a little skill, you can customize and add a few things with some HTML coding. There are a few things I wish it would do, but those are specific to MY needs and are unnecessary for most.
Bottom line: I love it and have recommended it to others.
I would not; In fact I'll be starting another website using HostGator this weekend and hopefully saying goodbye to GoDaddy. Their website builder is a joke if it wasn't so tragically flawed. The hundreds" of templates is nothing more than a dozen or so different templates with different color option. The layouts are stupid, the limits put on EVERYTHING (# of categories, # of products, # of add-on or accessories).and the list complies. For instance, if you have a 5 products that have 5 accessories; according to GoDaddy, you've listed 25 products, not 10.
When you want to work on a page or a group of pages within a category, you can't simply select that category and stay within that category.you have to start from the very beginning EACH AND EVERY TIME. For instance, if I want to work on only EOTech Sights, I have to either scroll through each page to find that product or I can select the category it's in.I can't simply enter the part#. Once I'm done editing the page, I can't go back one page to the same category, I have to start all over at the ALL PRODUCTS page and go through the same steps to find the EOTech products.
If you make ONE change to the Add-On or Accessory page, all the UPC's and prices will default to the 1st item. There are plenty more gripes about GoDaddy
.I would certainly recommend it.
Here are some things that might be helpful. -GoDaddy is actually the domain registrar...they offer a variety of good products through their services -our eCommerce store is actually Shopify...bought through GoDaddy...but they offer other eCommerce sites to choose from -even though easy to learn...it is helpful if the user have some experience such as eBay or Amazon -a very strong item is an eMail marketing campaign offered by GoDaddy at an extra price...without it the store owner may not draw many customers ...I would not depend on the SEO [search engine optimization] to pull traffic as competition is extremely high in all product areas ...however, the eMail marketing campaign would require the store owner have eMail addresses already...such as they may have acquired from eBay or Amazon sales...the SEO may draw some internet drifters if you have 'very specific' items they are seeking...but the SEO depends on what some search engines term as 'ranking'...and unless the store shows up in the top 10 it will probably produce minimal 'hits' from buyers ...even at that, some Buyers are reluctant to buy from independent sites unless the store accepts such as PayPal which assures product delivery -Overall: I feel it is best to acquire ALL services through GoDaddy (which are many) and are much easier to manage through their control panel
they are a great starter for the person that knows nothing about a website builder. It is easy to understand and build with a great support system, always there to help. If the site is just informational I would say they are a great host, if you are going to be selling online, you are very limited in what you can do, which has been very frustrating for me, 3 years ago they promised me they were going to be offering a drop ship program, that has not happened to date, in my estimation that is a must for selling online. Also, you are very limited with the themes they offer you to build your website, you are unable to add or delete variations as you build, no customization offered at all.
If I were looking to build a new website knowing what I know, they would be the last to choose. Do not recommend them for the above-listed reasons. They do offer a great support system, always there to help.
we absolutely love GODADDY for absolutely EVERYTHING!
We are a loyal customer to them for over a decade for all our Online Needs
At the moment I'm only using the very basics available as we have yet to launch officially, however I have had no problems being seen / found / viewed.
You can pay monthly or annually which helps finances, although I haven't reviewed prices for other similar providers recently so I couldn't comment on whether I'm overpaying (£35 per month approx for store with a few bells and whistles included)
On the whole - Yes, I would say it's not a product to be afraid of and you can get away with the basic shell while learning what the hell it all means :o)
I think it seems fine for someone getting started and isn't too difficult to learn.
I would recommend Go Daddy. They have an awesome support team which always has the answers I need and they seem to be available 24/7.
we have been pleased with GoDaddy.
I love it
I love it. It is easy to use and has many website options for different designs. And it is only $29 per month.
I do use Godaddy for my store and love it. I chose a template from 100s and I modify it myself to improve it a bit. There are some nice portfolio templates you can start with.
It's ok, not the greatest.
Works great - More POS integrations (Inventory management) would be ideal.
It works for me!
I recommend it.
I would highly recommend GoDaddy. Very easy to use for “non-technical” like me and their tech support is awesome. I’ve been very pleased with them.
They are good, very easy to set up and add products ...good display in all devices. So far no issues. Only negative thing the prices can't be display in local currency .
I would Recommend GoDaddy. They have the best rates and promotions Separate business builders section for client based needs .
I think its great
I would recommend it. We did it all in- house. The support is great too.
Overall, I have been very happy and the price is right. I had a huge issue a few years ago that it took several calls to fix but it did get fixed.
Yes we would. It’s very user friendly.
works great. Simple to use an easy. Easy to add products etc.
Go Daddy has worked well for us. It all depends on how much comtent you nee for your site. I recomend the Premium on line store.
GoDaddy is good. Great support. I have a couple Shopify sites. Easy to build etc... support wait time is longer. Support is pretty good. Either is good.
I've had no issues with the website and they have great customer service..
I wouldn’t recommend it
i would if you're looking for something like my site. I love to get a professional to do it but it's cheaper to do it yourself.
Nope, just moved from Godaddy to Shopify. Shopify is way better.
I love the fact that I can upload new pictures and products at my convenience and remove things that are no longer being sold it is very user-friendly and I love it!
It’s very limited. I may switch to WordPress for that reason.
I use GoDaddy for three different sites and it works great. I am not the person who manages or builds my sites.
I would like to find an alternative
The Simple store is a good option for beginners as it is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Since I primarily manage my items through my Etsy shop, I find the GoDaddy interface redundant and cumbersome personally.
Etsy has a web hosting service called Pattern that would automatically synthesize the listing managers for both sites, but it will only link one Etsy shop to one Pattern website. My brother and I both run separate Etsy shops and it won't combine both shops to one Pattern site, so we have this GoDaddy site as sort of a catch-all for our things. Once Pattern allows multiple Etsy shops on one site, we will be making the switch.
But I'm not sure about the full functionality of the GoDaddy Online Store, or optimizing it as a portfolio builder. I'm probably not the best authority on that. It's $30/month which is sort of steep for the way I'm using it, but if it was an artist's sole online shop platform, it may be adequate.
I would highly recommend them They are especially good & helpful with technical support
It works. It is expensive and doesn't pay for itsself.
We would recommend it as a good way to get your foot in the door for online websites.
I Love GoDaddy !!! So easy to use and customer service is always awesome ave so helpful. Each time I've needed help or an item added to make business easier they have created it. I have two websites on GoDaddy
I wouldn’t recommend it
