It can be difficult to differentiate form builders

We found it difficult to glean insights that would differentiate the actual software of a form builder.

Most users we talked to would instead comment on other things- such as pricing ("We cancelled Formstack last month... we couldn't justify the cost.") or plans ("I got tired of the limits imposed by the free accounts. "). Or users would comment on features too specific as to be helpful for our guide ("The only downside we've discovered so far is that when you export the data into an excel, it doesn't generate percentages for you.").

This might be because form builders are the swiss army knives of websites. They need to do a lot of things. So it can be difficult for users to tease out broad narratives from them.

So when reading our guide, be mindful that our customer satisfaction ratings give a general overview but that specific use cases might require different form builders.

About this Guide

Customer satisfaction is the percentage of users that I surveyed that recommended the product. I talk to a minimum of 30 users / company in order to calculate the customer satisfaction. (If I'm not able to find 30 users, I don't include the company in our guide.)

I'm always trying to find ways to improve these guides so if you have any comments or suggestions please email me.
